GVRD holds board meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth
Thursday of each month at GVRD's main office, 395 Amador St.,
Vallejo. The public is welcome to attend. For additional information

Board of Directors
Gary Salvadori
Gary Salvadori was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and graduated from Western New England College
as an Electrical Engineer. Gary and his wife, Judi, have two grown children. He was employed by
General Electric Company for 15 years and then with other technology companies. In 1991, he founded
their business, Minuteman Press, here in Vallejo. Since that time, he has served as President of the
Vallejo Rotary Club, Chair of the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce and the Sutter Solano Charitable Foundation,
the Benicia Historical Museum and the St. Patrick / St. Vincent Board of Regents. Gary has also served
two terms on the Vallejo Planning Commission. Prior to coming to Vallejo, he served on the Economic Development
Board and the General Plan Update Committee in Benicia. Gary and Judi reside in a 100+ year old Victorian in downtown Vallejo.
Dennis Albright
Dennis Albright has been a Vallejo resident since 1950. He attended local schools and Solano Community College.
Dennis and his wife, Tanya, have one daughter and two grandsons. He completed an electrical apprenticeship at Mare Island
Naval Shipyard and held numerous management positions throughout his 35 year career. He served as superintendent of trade
shops and groups of shops engaged in work on ships of all types. He was also Superintendent of the shipyard’s public works shops.
Mr. Albright served as president of the Mare Island Superintendents Association and retired in 1994 when the shipyard was nearing closure.
He enjoys bicycling, skiing, abalone diving, whaleboat rowing, backpacking and the outdoors in general.
Liat Meitzenheimer
Ms. Meitzenheimer was born and raised in Southern California and
has lived in Vallejo since 1985. She has one son. Currently employed
by the Federal Government, Ms. Meitzenheimer has been involved
in various community activities and has served on the City of
Vallejo's Human Relations Commission since 1997, the City of Vallejo's
Unity Day steering committee, Vallejo Alcohol Policy Coalition
under the Fighting Back partnership, and the Educational Justice
Community Steering Committee.
Karol Heppe
Karol Heppe has been a resident of Vallejo since 1999. She is employed by the City and County of San Francisco
as an investigator. Ms. Heppe received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law & Society from the University of California at
Santa Barbara and Juris Doctorate from the People College of Law in Los Angeles. Prior to moving to Vallejo Ms. Heppe was the
Director of Alternative Sentencing for the Center for Juvenile and Criminal Justice, Director of the Police Misconduct Lawyer
Referral Service and Development Director for the Central American Refugee Center. Ms. Heppe has served on numerous Boards including
the National Lawyers Guild and the Law Students Civil Rights Research Council. Ms. Heppe enjoys reading, swimming, playing the piano,
and the symphony.
Wendell Quigley
Wendell Quigley has been a resident of Vallejo since 1987. He is a veteran having served in the US Navy from 1970 to 1974.
Mr. Quigley is retired from the California Department of Corrections after serving for 22 years and served as a board member for the
California Correctional Peace Officer Association. Mr. Quigley has served the Vallejo community on various committees and associations;
Architectural Heritage and Landmarks Commission; Glen Cove Homeowners Association; Restoration Advisory Board for Mare Island and the
Mare Island Community Association. Mr. Quigley continues to volunteer his time to serve the community by helping with the graffiti removal,
Coastal Clean-Up and the Solano Aids Coalition. In his spare time, Wendell enjoys spending hours restoring and painting the Mira Theatre,
spending time with his partner of 22 years, Manny, walking his two schnauzers, going to the movies, attending live theatre performances.
