10 Year Master Plan

Looking to the Future

The Greater Vallejo Parks & Recreation District (GVRD) has published the DRAFT 10-Year Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan for a public comment period ending on October 7, 2021.

This 10-Year Master Plan DRAFT sets the course for the next 10 years of park and facility development, improvements, and advancements. It represents the public’s vision for the district and is a declaration of their priorities and needs. The plan identifies target areas to focus resources, updates priorities, identifies needed areas for improvement and assesses both current and future trends. It helps to ensure that GVRD fulfills its mission of “building community and enhancing quality of life through people, parks and programs.”

The 10-Year Master Plan DRAFT was driven by an extensive public engagement process that included meetings with stakeholders and outreach to Vallejo citizens and park visitors through a public survey, focus group interview sessions, and virtual public forums.

GVRD would like to thank all the members of the public that participated for their thoughtful, impassioned dedication to the planning process.
