Reimagine Your Parks
Proposition 68 authorized $1 billion in general obligation bonds for state and local parks, environmental protection and restoration projects, water infrastructure projects, and flood protection projects. The Greater Vallejo Recreation Department is working on grants to receive Prop 68 funds that will improve parks in Vallejo. These bonds are unique in that they do not require any city matching of funds. This state money can make a giant difference to the parks in Vallejo. We are in the last round of funding totaling almost $400 million.
Please join a community meeting to share your thoughts. What would you like to see in your neighborhood park? What would encourage you to visit the parks more often? GVRD wants to know.
