Backyard Bird Count for Kids

May contain: bird, animal, waterfowl, grass, and plant

Bird Rescue in partnership with the Pacific Flyway Center and Solano Land Trust would love to invite community youths ages 8-15 along with an accompanying parent or guardian to join us for a special day of birding.

Participants will learn about bird species in our community, citizen science, and some birding basics from Bird Rescue team members and then join a team to conduct a bird count at either Rush Ranch or our Cordelia Slough education site (a 10 mile drive from Rush Ranch). After completing the bird counts, we will meet back together at Rush Ranch for a tabulation celebration and snacks!

Participants must register in advance HERE

When: Saturday, Feb 18th, 9am to 1pm

Where: Rush Ranch 3521 Grizzly Island Rd., Suisun City, CA
