Subject: Greater Vallejo Recreation District Welcomes Newest Board Member.

Greater Vallejo Recreation District would like to announce the appointment of Nicole Person to the GVRD Board of Directors. Ms. Person was appointed by the Vallejo City Council for a term ending December 8, 2029.

Growing up in an urban steel mill town, Nicole understood the importance of community parks and recreation programs and their ability to unite neighborhoods. She saw first-hand the impact recreational programs made in reducing crime and providing a sense of belonging for her and her family. Nicole has over 20 years of experience in Sales and Marketing with Fortune 500 companies and is passionate about public engagement in shaping the future of community spaces. 

Nicole attended Purdue University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a focus on Marketing. Nicole currently works as a Business Development Manager for a global resin manufacturer. 

As a parent and grandmother Nicole enjoys hikes with family and urban gardening.

When asked his thoughts on the appointment, General Manager Gabriel Lanusse stated: “ Nicole is intelligent, articulate, and dedicated to the Vallejo community. I look forward to seeing the ideas and passion she will bring to the Board of Directors.”
