Rita Fryar

Rita is the daughter of hardworking Nigerian immigrant parents and grew up as a Boys & Girls Club kid, spending much of her childhood in parks and community programs. Those early experiences shaped her deep appreciation for community-based organizations and their role in creating opportunity and supporting families. She is also a devoted wife and mother and remains committed to strengthening communities for future generations.
Rita holds a Master's of Public Administration and has dedicated more than 20 years to federal service, including roles on Capitol Hill, at the Social Security Administration (SSA), and at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), where she supported national healthcare programs serving millions of Americans. She is now the founder and principal consultant of RSF Compliance, LLC, where she partners with health organizations to strengthen compliance, improve operations, and better serve their communities.
In her free time, Rita enjoys painting, coloring, building LEGO creations, gardening, and spending time with her immediate family and close friends. She is proud to support GVRD’s mission and contribute to programs that strengthen communities and expand access to opportunity.
