Ward Stewart

Son of public educators, Ward grew up in Vallejo with fond memories of biking Hanns and River Park, community events at Dan Foley Park, birthday celebrations at Blue Rock Springs Park, baseball at North Vallejo and Setterquist Park, soccer at Wilson Park, swimming at Cunningham and Richardson Pool and sailing on the Mare Island Strait.
A parent first and foremost, Ward has coached youth league baseball and soccer teams, participates in and shares his enjoyment for running, biking, swimming, hiking, martial arts and recreational sports with his daughter and son.
Ward attended CSU Sacramento where he ran collegiate track, played intramural sports, mentored local students with disabilities, interned in the CA State Capitol and earned a BA in Government and a MA in Public Administration from Golden Gate University.
Ward currently works as District & School Support Liaison in Educational Services for the Solano County Office of Education. Previous employers include Solano Community College, Solano Transportation Authority, the City of Vacaville and the Alamance Burlington School System.
Ward previously served as a VCUSD Governing Board Trustee from 2007 - 2016 and currently serves on the Solano Community College District Measure Q Citizens Bond Oversight Committee.
